The lesson for you and me, as always, is to go within; to trust our guides and our own voices and knowing. We are learning that by degrees.
Most of us are so used to being criticized or praised by people for what we do, that we can feel a little lost without someone to prove something to or perform for. That's part of the learning.
Just be. Manifest God.
We are here for us. Big revelation. This is your incarnation. This is my incarnation. We are here to express our divinity in whatever way our heart (not ego) guides us.
"Giving your gifts to the world is not a performance, but a generosity." Brenda Ueland said that when she was in her 90s. Good for her!
There are many ways of putting a tangible 3D creation out into the world. You can dance in and say, "Here's my piece of god art. If it resonates with you, enjoy it." Or you can tiptoe apoligetically in to the critics and ask, "What's wrong with me? What's wrong with my work? Oh please wise people who know ever so much more than I, please help me fix it. I can do better. Please be patient with me. I'll try harder." Wah wah wah, etc. Or you can cunningly observe the marketplace and try to mimic someone else's vision in the hollow pursuit of money.
We've all seen horrible movies where a good idea was tweaked, a plot line changed, old footage cut and new film inserted all in response to "focus groups." The end result lacks vision, clarity and continuity. Committees do not make great art. The marketplace does not create, it consumes. People with a vision create. "Without a vision, the people perish."
Past programming has taught us to tweak it (whatever "it" is) to make it more appealing to other humans, more marketable, more like what already exists. As soon as we do this, we move from our center. We move from our unique vision. We move from the position of creators to the position of dealers, manufacturers, or subservient petitioners who hope maybe please someone might sorta kinda like what we did, or at least not hate it too much. When our work does not come from our heart it is disingenuous and lacks Life force.
I do not believe most of us have purposely incarnated to lead an existence of bland conforming mediocrity. If you are reading this, then you may also believe that we are here to manifest our divinity as genuinely as we can. Without ego. Without apology. Without seeking what Jesus called, "the praises of men."
Whatever your work, here are some basic steps to help do it well:
- Get quiet.
- Get centered.
- Get clear.
- Get your ego out of the way.
(this includes the insecure people-pleasing ego)
- Be perfectly present in your Heart in NOW.
- Consciously connect to the Source.
- Let Divine Energy flow through you.
- Detach from the outcome.
From this perspective, our work becomes a form of active meditation and communion. "Products" thus created carry a depth of vibration that simply cannot be reached by mere intellectual cleverness or physical skill.
It is in consciously connecting and strengthening our connection to the Source that we learn, have, are everything we need. Seeking human opinions is usually a stalling tactic.
If there is a purpose to the end product of working with the Divine, it is not to maintain the status quo!
We have available to us some very wise guides, teachers, angels and masters who vibe much higher than the usual human realm of interaction. They will help us, IF we ask, and LISTEN.
Do you want to try working in a new way? Do you dare to seek to manifest your piece of the Divine vision into the 3D? If so, ask for Divine assistance. It is readily available for those who are willing to get their egos out of the way, move into their hearts and take the idea of "work" to a higher level.
I hereby challenge you to manifest Divine Light and Love through your work.
